Project Spotlight: Brooklyn Brownstone
Book Inspiration
Our Riverside Drive project transformed two awkwardly combined prewar apartments into a coherent whole with jaw-dropping views of Riverside Park. It was a real honor to see it included in the gorgeous new coffee table book, Inspired Modern Living, by Intermedia Publishing–not least because we handled both the architecture and the decorating for this fully integrated renovation.
What We’re Loving This Month
- Material Crush: ribbed glass—elegant, timeless, and perfect for adding privacy without losing light.
- Architecture in Film: Doors, a film by the Swiss American conceptual artist, composer, and filmmaker Christian Marclay at the Brooklyn Museum, is mesmerizing.
- Hot Tickets: The Prospect Series is our favorite live show, a monthly jazz performance hosted by musician Jonathan Moritz and textile artist Elodie Blanchard in their gorgeous studio overlooking Green-Wood Cemetery. Yes, we’re their architect, too, but still… First off, the evening starts with snacks and drinks. Then three new bands play each House Show. On lucky nights, Jonathan joins in, as well. It’s everything Brooklyn ought to be!
