For a wall of kitchen cabinets that included drawers, doors, and in-plane sliding panels, we needed a single recessed pull that could serve multiple functions. We solved the problem with a custom cabinet pull made of three elements. The handle itself is a solid bronze bar inset flush with the cabinet door. It bisects an elliptical opening we cut in the satin lacquered doors. Lastly, the backer is a panel of hickory, to hide fingerprints. Each element has a deliberate function. And the single repeated pull unifies the whole wall.
