York Street Subway Station by Sherman Architects

Wikipedia Salutes Sherman Architects

Wikipedia has acknowledged Sherman Architects for its re-design of the York Street subway station.

Back in 2016, we started a campaign to add a second entrance to the dangerous platform, the first stop of the F train in Brooklyn.  The station’s shocking egress problem was something we witnessed on a daily basis.  So we decided to show the MTA a solution.

We’re terribly proud of our design and credit it for inspiring the planned changes to the station slowly percolating their way through the bureaucracy.

Evidently, Wikipedia agrees. They’ve identified the same dangers in their article on the York Street station and cited our design as an early solution.  We’re grateful for the recognition.
