We are pleased to announce that Sherman Architects has won Bluestar’s 2025 Kitchen Design Contest. Each year, the famed manufacturer of professional-grade ranges, ovens, hoods, and refrigerators bestows an award on a kitchen designer “for their creativity, vision and inspiring kitchen design.”
With submissions from more than 20 states, the judges singled out our communal kitchen in Prospect Heights as a regional winner. We designed the kitchen for a gang of cousins: for entertaining, multiple cooks, and epic meals. Durable blue cabinets and stainless steel accents contrast with wide oak floorboards and warm white Heath tiles.
In the words of the judges: “Color is back and it’s here to stay…. Timelessness is once again being defined by color.” We couldn’t agree more!
